Develop and complete governance, risk, and compliance legal screenings and reporting findings.
Work with the CEO to integrate the Ishan Standard (non-profit division) into the organization
Responsible for working with an internal team and outside consultants to build and grow the
assigned program(s) that support the Muslim community
Partner with staff to complete governance, risk, and compliance assessments and reporting
findings
Manage non-profit compliance intakes; assist with pre-representation research including conflict
checks
Partner with the Advisory Council to ensure the non-profit program(s) are relevant and effective
Develop, prepare, and host non-profit trainings (in-person and online) in partnership with the
Training Manager
Build program and brand awareness in the community
Conduct research to support the assigned program(s)
Assist the legal team on a variety of tasks, projects, processes, and initiatives as needed
Collaborate with attorneys and the MLFA team to determine case strategy
Regularly report on the progress of the non-profit program
Attend regular staff meetings and trainings as required
Ensure work duties are being performed in accordance with applicable state and federal
regulations
